My New Life, With a ‘New’ Job Title

I’ve always wanted to be a stay at home mom (SAHM). I didn’t think it would happen as soon as it did though and to be honest, I’m terrified that I’m going to suck at it and not do a good job. I’m a busy body and I like structure. That doesn’t always work with kids.

Job Update

A few weeks ago, we were informed that our entire department was being eliminated at work and that we would be ‘working’ until June 1st. After that, we wouldn’t have jobs and we were free to do whatever we wanted. That’s all great and good, but when you’re 7 months pregnant, finding a job is super hard to do. Either I look for a job now and go on interviews and they don’t hire me because I’m CLEARLY pregnant (and even though they say they don’t discriminate, there is always a reason to NOT hire a pregnant woman). Or, I find someone that’s nice enough to hire a pregnant woman and then get very little time off with my last baby and chance having my job not be there for me when I return because I don’t qualify for FMLA. So basically…I’m screwed. This isn’t exactly how we planned it, but we’re going to try to make the most of it because that’s all we really can do.

June 4th, 2018

Monday was my first day home with the kiddos. They’re (almost) 4 and 2 and they sure are a handful. They fight, they laugh, they run, they play, and man, do they give the best random hugs and kisses anyone could ask for! I will someday figure out how to get more done when I’m here with them during the day, but for now I’m going to enjoy them as much as I can while being big, tired, and super pregnant. I can honestly say that being home with multiple children is not easy and it’s going to be very tiring, but I also think it will be the most rewarding thing I have ever done…and the hardest. Especially when we’re still potty training.

Loving the snuggles!

Just having a little morning meeting (including drinks and snacks) with my team. Let’s have a productive day people!

And More…

Not only do I now stay home with the kiddos, I still run my LuLaRoe business on the side! So technically I’m a WAHM (working at home mom) but I haven’t quite figured out how to get stuff done while they are awake since they aren’t allowed by the clothing and it’s on another level of our house. So for now, I’ll be over here, trying to figure out how to juggle being a SAHM, a good wife to my amazing husband, a good housewife and keep this house in order and a good business owner. If anyone has any tips or tricks, feel free to fill me in!
