I don’t mean to be harsh but….scratch that, yes I do. Seriously people. If you are sick, STAY HOME. No, really, I’m not even kidding. I’m not sure people understand what happens when you come to work sick and you ‘think you’re ok’ but really you’re not. When you’re sitting in your cubicle coughing and sneezing all over everything and spreading your germs everywhere, I’m over here having a minor panic attack. Why? Because I’m a nursing mama with a 9 month old and a 2 year old at home. What does that translate to? I CAN’T TAKE COLD MEDICATION AND NEITHER CAN MY KIDS. But guess who can? YOU. And you can stay home and get yourself better before coming back to work. This also goes for when you are around pregnant women. Guess what kind of cold medicine they can take? Yep, you guessed it, NONE!

Do you know what’s really not fun while you’re pregnant or nursing? Being sick and trying to take care of others at the same time while you are absolutely miserable. Even worse is when everyone in your house is miserable because you caught something at work and brought it home with you.

So please…PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD…don’t go in to work when you’re that sick and get everyone else sick too.
