We love this dish in our house! You can serve this as a side dish or make some veggies with it and make it a meal. That's what we like to do in the winter time, when you just need some good comfort food.
Cheesy Hashbrown Casserole with Ham Recipe
You may have made something like this before and it's always a hit. When you add the saltiness of the ham, it just makes it complete. You could definitely put this together ahead of time and then just pop it in the oven when you are ready to cook it.
I have honestly tried this in the crock pot and it's just not the same. It ends up being too mushy if it sits too long and the corn flakes on top do not crisp up. I have tried crisping them in a frying pan first and then adding them at the end and that works if I need to do this in the crock pot.
