I had to share this recipe for a few reasons. I need to put this somewhere I can find it again and also because I’ve had a few friends ask for it. This was way easier than I thought it would be! And I love that this is sugar free and I don’t feel bad for giving it to my 1 year old! We add a little to her oatmeal, her yogurt or on a piece of bread for a quick snack. She loves it just as much as we do!
Ingredients
- 3 cups Pureed Strawberries I left mine a little chunky
- 1 package Sure Jell Premium Fruit Pectin
- 1 3/4 cup Apple Juice I used Organic Honeycrisp Apple Juice for the sweetness
Servings:
Instructions
- Puree your strawberries - you can mash them if you'd like. I put mine in my food processor and pulsed until I got the consistency I was looking for, which was a little chunky.
- Pour strawberry puree into a bowl.
- Pour your apple juice in a saucepan and whisk in the Sure Jell. Bring to a boil for a minute or two.
- Pour apple juice/Sure Jell combination into the strawberry puree and stir it for a minute or two.
- Put into freezer containers and let sit in the refrigerator overnight to set. (I used the Ball freezer containers).
- Move to the freezer.
